The key in right teaching is the adaptation of yoga to the individual.  It is not that the person needs to accommodate himself or herself to yoga, but rather the yoga practice must be tailored to fit each person.  Desikachar, on Krishnamacharya's beliefs

 

Training

 

 

Tunisia Stillpoint in partnership with Pranavinyasa.org presents teacher training that qualifies students in accordance with Yoga Alliance Teacher Training Standards. www.yogaalliance.org 

Instructors are registered to teach students throughout the full range of qualification.  200 hours, 500 hours, and 750 hours in therapeutic yoga plus elective weekend workshops.  

During  the training students will:

Ø     Be immersed into a program that is nurturing and challenging, The program is  designed to  offer the student a full range of training from yoga meditation to asana practice

Ø     Be encouraged to develop a teaching style that builds upon personality and previous experience.  Students will be encouraged to learn different styles and presentations to incorporate into their own teaching practice

Ø     Be exposed to instructors who have had many years of practice and teaching.

Ø     Be within an academic environment that allows for teaching practice within small subject focused groups.

Ø     Have a variety of workshops to attend that are offered on a year round basis.

 At the end of the program students are eligible to apply for Yoga Alliance teaching status
